Christof Wehking
Christof Wehking (born March 12, 1924 in the north , province of Hanover , Free State of Prussia ; † September 10, 2004 in Malente ) was a German author who published mostly in Low German .
Life
Wehking grew up in East Frisia , attended elementary school in his hometown and then did an administrative apprenticeship at AOK Norden . There he became a civil servant in 1953 and worked for the health insurance company for a total of 48 years, most recently as director until his retirement in 1986. In his free time he was an actor and director at the Niederdeutsche Bühne Norden.
Wehking was active as a writer since around 1965. His plays , some of which have also been performed by well-known theaters such as the Hamburg Ohnsorg Theater , and his radio plays appeared mainly in Low German. The radio plays were all broadcast by Radio Bremen and the NDR .
Christof Wehking spent his twilight years in Holstein Switzerland , where he died in Bad Malente-Gremsmühlen in 2004.
