Christoph Glaubacker (* 1974 in Marbach am Neckar ) is a German actor .

Life

Christoph Glaubacker grew up in Esslingen am Neckar . It was there that he made his first experiences in theater at the Landesbühne and his first film experiences at the Ludwigsburg Film Academy. After graduating from high school, Glaubacker moved to Berlin , where he studied cultural studies. He then studied acting at the Konrad Wolf Academy for Film and Television in Potsdam. He has been working as a freelance actor since 2000.

Since then he has devoted himself to contemporary theater and performance in the field of theater . Among other things, he played at the Hebbel am Ufer , in the Theaterhaus Mitte and at the Sophiensaelen , at the Theater am Neumarkt Zurich , at the Mousonturm in Frankfurt, at the Tafelhalle Nürnberg, at the Junge Theater Bremen and in the independent Bremen production facility K. Tax office . A guest engagement took him to the Theater an der Parkaue Berlin in the production of Ferdausis Reisen , directed by Lukas Matthäi, with guest appearances in Vienna and Istanbul.

From 2004 to 2008 he was a member of the independent theater group Nico and the Navigators in a total of three productions and appeared in the Sophiensaele and Radialsystem Berlin and at internationally renowned festivals such as the Wiener Festwochen , the Bregenz Festival , the Festival Salamanca, the Trafo Budapest, the Teatro Festival Parma, the Danube Festival, the Dans och Teater Festival Göteborg or the Filature Mulhouse.

He can also be seen in many cinema and television productions. He worked for example with Sönke Wortmann , Roland Suso Richter, Franziska Meletzky, Barbara Teufel, Matthias Tiefenbacher , Hartmut Griesmayr and Sven Taddicken and the production companies Constantin Film and Teamworx .

In Sönke Wortmann's bestseller film adaptation , The Popess , he plays the masochistic monk Thedo at the side of Johanna Wokalek . In the television series Bloch , directed by Franziska Meletzky, he played the former anorexic Holger in one episode. Lately he has mainly appeared in international cinema and television productions: Homeland, Deutschland 83, Posthumous and Alone in Berlin.
