Christoph Theuerkauf (born October 13, 1984 in Magdeburg ) is a German handball player . The 1.92 meter long circle runner plays at TBV Lemgo .

Career

Theuerkauf played in the youth for TuS 1860 Magdeburg-Neustadt and the SCM Youngsters . From July 1, 2003 he had a contract with the first team of SC Magdeburg . At the end of May 2003 he made his Bundesliga debut at the last Bundesliga match of the 2002/03 season against TV Großwallstadt in Aschaffenburg .

Theuerkauf made his international debut on November 17, 2004 against Hungary in Ludvika , Sweden.

Theuerkauf's greatest sporting successes are winning the 2004 junior European championship, a junior runner-up European championship, four German youth championships and a school world championship. At club level he won the EHF Cup in 2007 with SC Magdeburg .

From the 2010/11 season, Theuerkauf played at TBV Lemgo . From summer 2012 until 2016 he played for HBW Balingen-Weilstetten.

In January 2016, the association announced that the expiring contract with the Kreisläufer would not be extended in the summer. After the season, Theuerkauf kept fit at TV Neuhausen and played at TV Weilstetten in the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga until it became known in September 2016 that Theuerkauf had signed a contract with injury-ridden TBV Lemgo until the end of the season. His contract was then extended to summer 2020. From the 2020/21 season he will play for the 2nd team of the TBV in the 3rd division. In addition, he takes on a job in the office.
