Christopher Reinhold von Nolcken (born February 26, 1660 ; † March 20, 1732 ), Herr von Hasik , was a German-Baltic nobleman , state politician and district administrator of Ösel .

Life

Christopher Reinhold von Nolcken was initially in royal Swedish military service and began his military career in 1678 as an ensign in a dragoons squadron . In 1679 he was promoted to lieutenant and took part in the campaign to East Prussia from 1678 to 1679 . It was passed in 1681. From 1682 he was a lieutenant commander in the garrison regiment of Riga and was at this time in 1685 to captain promoted. In 1691 he took part in the campaign against the French under English command in Brabant . His next position was from 1695 as captain in the Wismar garrison regiment , in 1700 he was promoted to major and in 1706 to lieutenant colonel. In 1714 he became the colonel in command of the regiment, he participated in the expedition against Güstrow part and fell on December 23, 1715 in Stralsund in captivity . He returned to the island of Ösel in 1718 and left the royal Swedish lord on September 30, 1719 as a colonel. In Arensburg , the capital of Ösel, he worked as the royal Swedish legation secretary and received the nobility diploma on September 10, 1725 (Ritt. Arch. Nro. 118). As a district administrator, he represented the interests of the knighthood in the province of Ösel at the knighthood meetings . In 1725 he served, together with the District Administrator Justus Hinrich von Rading, as a deputy of the Osel knighthood in Saint Petersburg and advocated the instructions given to them by the Osel knighthood.

The von Nolcken belonged to an old and deeply rooted German-Baltic aristocratic family, the branch based on the island of Ösel had considerable political influence. Christopher Reinhold's father was Friedrich von Nolcken , Herr von Hasik auf Ösel (1624–1691), who was married to Anna von Vietinghoff († 1685) for the first time.
