Clemens Schoppenhauer (born February 23, 1992 in Bremerhaven ) is a German football player . He is mainly used in central defense and is under contract with FC Oberneuland .

career

In the summer of 2005, Schoppenhauer moved from JSG Weser-Stotel to the Werder Bremen youth team . There he played from 2007 to 2009 in the B-Junioren-Bundesliga , from 2009 in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga . In the 2010/11 season he was the captain of the Bremen U-19s.

On October 30, 2010, he made his debut for Werder Bremen's U-23 team in the 0: 1 against 1. FC Heidenheim in the 3rd division . Schoppenhauer played over 90 minutes in his first appearance in the men's area. In the following games he came to further missions.

Due to personnel concerns, Schoppenhauer was also appointed to the preliminary squad for the Champions League away game from Werder Bremen on November 24, 2010 against Tottenham Hotspur and traveled to England with the professional team. Because of many injuries, Werder only had eleven professionals in this game. However, Schoppenhauer was not in the final squad. In the winter of 2011 he traveled to the training camp in Belek with the professionals and from then on trained regularly with the Bremen Bundesliga team.

For the 2014/15 season, Schoppenhauer switched to the Würzburger Kickers . On May 31, 2015 he rose with the team after the relegation against 1. FC Saarbrücken in the 3rd division. In May 2016 he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with Würzburg , which was followed by direct relegation a year later.

On May 29, 2017, the second division FC St. Pauli signed Schoppenhauer for the 2017/18 season . In his first season he came to two second division and two regional league appearances in the second team.

After Schoppenhauer had not made a second division appearance in the 2018/19 season, but only made twelve regional league appearances, he switched to third division VfR Aalen at the beginning of January 2019 , where he received a contract with a term until June 30, 2020.

After the established relegation of Aalen, Schoppenhauer broke his contract at the end of the season and joined the third division Chemnitzer FC . For the 2019/20 season he moved to the fifth-class FC Oberneuland in Bremen.
