Cogolludo is a municipality in the comarca of La Serranía . It belongs to the Spanish province of Guadalajara in the autonomous region of Castile-La Mancha and is located about 40 km north of the provincial capital Guadalajara . The place was on May 14, 1100 for the first time in a letter from Alfons VI. mentioned at the abbot of the monastery of San Pedro de Gumiel .

The place belongs to the so-called Black Villages .
