There are hardly any usable sources about Colen Ferguson. Neither his place of birth nor his place of death and the associated data have been handed down. Nothing is known about his school education or his career beyond politics. One thing is certain: he lived in Delaware for at least some time and was a member of the Democratic Party . In 1912 he was elected lieutenant governor of the state of Delaware. He held this office between January 21, 1913 and January 16, 1917. He was Deputy Republican Governor Charles R. Miller and Chairman of the State Senate . He was the first lieutenant governor of Delaware to belong to a party other than the governor. After the end of his time as Lieutenant Governor, Ferguson was no longer politically active. Otherwise his track is lost.
