Lewis E. Eliason

Lewis Edwin Eliason (born September 15, 1850 in New Castle County , Delaware , †  May 2, 1919 ibid) was an American politician . Between 1917 and 1919 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Delaware.

Nothing is known about Lewis Eliason's youth and schooling. There is also no information in the sources about his career outside of politics. Politically, he joined the Democratic Party . In 1916 he was elected Lieutenant Governor of Delaware at the side of John G. Townsend . He held this office between 1917 and his death on May 2, 1919. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate .
