Dale E. Wolf

Dale Edward Wolf (born September 6, 1924 in Kearney , Nebraska ) is a former American politician ( Republican Party ). He was governor of the state of Delaware from 1992 to 1993 .

Early years and advancement

Dale Wolf studied agriculture at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln . During World War II , he served as a lieutenant in the US Army in the Pacific. After the war he studied at Rutgers University before starting a successful career with the Du Pont Company . There he first worked in the agricultural research department. He later served on the board of the pharmaceutical department. He also held various positions in national agrochemical associations.

Political career

In 1987 Wolf made political appearances for the first time as Minister of Development ( Director of Development ) in Delaware; a year later he was elected as his party's candidate for the new lieutenant governor . So he was from 1987 Deputy Governor Michael Castle . When he resigned from office on December 31, 1992 to take his new seat in the US House of Representatives , Wolf had to end the remaining term of office as governor as his deputy. In this case that was just 20 days. On January 19, 1993, the newly elected Governor Tom Carper took over this office.

Another résumé

Wolf later headed Daynel International , a consulting firm that primarily advised other companies on business relationships with China. After that, Wolf held various leading positions in the field of agricultural chemistry. He also served as chairman of a council to combat drug and alcohol abuse in Delaware and chairman of an organization to improve the judiciary in Delaware. Wolf has been married to Clarice Elaine Marshall since 1945, with whom he has four children.
