During this period, the French trapper Pasquinel and the Scottish trader Alexander McKeag settled the country, the (fictional) city Centennial was founded by the Mennonite Levi Zendt, and the battles against the Pawnee , Cheyenne and Arapaho Indians who lived there were carried out by Colonel Frank Skimmerhorn, which resulted in the expulsion of the Indians, as well as the stories about Pasquinel's descendants up to Paul Garrett, who is currently fighting against the businessman Morgan Wendell and the overexploitation of nature.
