Coloring Book ( English for " coloring book ") is the third mixtape by US rapper Chance the Rapper . It was published on May 13, 2016 in self-distribution for download only .
production
Much of the mixtape was produced by The Social Experiment, who were involved in eight instrumentals. The music producer Lido was involved in two songs. Other productions come from Kanye West , Kaytranada , Brasstracks, Francis and the Lights, Ware, CBMIX, Stix, Rascal, Cottontale, Garren and Cam O'bi.

Coloring Book entered the US album charts at number 8 on June 4, 2016, making it the first publication to hit the Billboard 200 solely due to streaming . Overall, the album stayed in the top 200 for 125 weeks.
As singles , the songs were Angels , No Problem (US # 43, 26 wk.) And Summer Friends decoupled. In addition, the song Blessings reached number 93 in the US charts for a week due to high individual downloads.
Awards
Coloring Book won the award for best rap album at the 2017 Grammy Awards , making it the first mixtape to receive the award. It is also the first streaming-only album to win a Grammy. The song No Problem also got the award in the category of best rap performance .

The mixtape received consistently positive reviews. Thomas Haas from the website laut.de rated Coloring Book with four out of a possible five points. He describes it as a “genre creation” from “classical and contemporary hip hop, spoken word, soul, jazz and funk”. Due to the “organic instrumentation” and the choirs, it would “undoubtedly do justice to a gospel album” and belong to “the most exciting thing to hear in hip hop this year”.
The annual leaderboards several magazines and websites, including Rolling Stone and Pitchfork , was Coloring Book voted in the top 10 best albums.
