Cornelia ("Conny") Kissling (born July 18, 1961 in Olten ) is a former Swiss freestyle skier . She specialized in the point disciplines moguls ( moguls ), aerials (jumping) and the nowadays no longer played acro (ballet) . It won five medals at world championships, achieved 106 World Cup victories and was able to secure the overall World Cup ten times in a row between 1983 and 1992. These achievements made her the dominant athlete in her sport in the 1980s and she is still considered the most successful freestyle skier ever.
In February 1992 she represented her country at the Winter Olympics in Albertville and took 13th place in the Mughal competition. She was able to secure the gold medal in ballet; however, this discipline was only part of the program as a demonstration sport - just like all freestyle skiing competitions four years earlier in Calgary , so that the bronze medals won there are not officially counted as Olympic medals.
After her tenth overall World Cup victory in a row, Kissling resigned from active sport following the 1991/1992 season. In 1992 she was named “Swiss Sportswoman of the Year” . On June 1, 2002 she married the former Swiss alpine ski racer Urs Lehmann , who has been President of the Swiss Ski Association since 2008 . The couple lives with a daughter in the canton of Aargau . Kissling works today (January 2013) for Willy Bogner GmbH & Co. KGaA and is ambassador for Salomon and Laureus Switzerland .
