Conor Townsend (born October 8, 1993 in Hull ) is an English football player who plays for West Bromwich Albion .

Conor Townsend was born in Kingston upon Hull in the north east of England in 1993. There he began his football career in the youth of Hull City . For the 2011/12 season Townsend was appointed to the professional squad of the Tigers , which were second class at the time. The Townsend, which was used in defense, was awarded to Grimsby Town in the Conference National before the start of the season . A season later he played on loan at fourth division Chesterfield FC , followed by another loan to Carlisle United in the 3rd English division . In July 2014, his hometown club awarded him to the Scottish first division club Dundee United , for which he had remained without any professional involvement until then . He made his debut for United at Team Manager Jackie McNamara on the first day of the new Premiership - 2014/15 season .
