Career
society
Kyle Bartley was born in Manchester and joined the Bolton Wanderers at the age of 14 . On July 31, 2007, he moved to the youth academy of Arsenal FC . With the academy team he won the FA Youth Cup 2008/09.
On December 9, 2009, Arsenal had already qualified in Group H for the round of 16 of the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League . Therefore, coach Arsène Wenger used a lot of youngsters from the reserve team for the last group game against Olympiacos . So he got his first professional game, which he played for the full 90 minutes. In February 2010, Sheffield United was awarded to the end of the season to strengthen the defense of the "Blades". There he was used regularly and completed 14 games until he returned to Arsenal.
For the 2010/11 season he was loaned back to Sheffield United for one season . In September he fractured a cheekbone after clashing with Nottingham Forest striker Dele Adebola . After he was out for a few months, he was able to regain his place in the team until in January 2011 with Neill Collins a new coach came to Bramall Lane . Bartley then asked to be able to leave Sheffield, fearing for his regular place. The club management complied with his request and he was loaned out to Scottish club Glasgow Rangers on the last day of the winter transfer window . On March 6, 2011, he scored his first goal for the Rangers in a 1-0 win over FC St. Mirren and thus his very first goal ever.
He returned to Arsenal after a ligament injury that put him out of action for the rest of the season. The Rangers decided to borrow one more year.
For the 2012/13 season Bartley moved to Swansea City . With his new employer he signed a three-year contract until June 30, 2015. With Swansea he won the League Cup 2012/13 .
On July 2, 2013, he was loaned to Birmingham City for a year . After 17 league games and three goals in the Football League Championship , he returned to Swansea City for the 2014/15 season.
National team
On November 9, 2006, he completed his first international match for the England U-16 national team against Northern Ireland. By April 28, 2007 there were four more international matches. In 2008, he played three international matches for the U-17 team between February and March.
