Matheus Fellipe Costa Pereira (born May 5, 1996 in Belo Horizonte ) is a Brazilian soccer player . The winger is under contract with West Bromwich Albion .
Career
Pereira moved from CF Trafaria to Sporting Lisbon in 2009 . At Sporting he went through the youth teams and was used from January 2014 in the club's second team, which plays in the Segunda League . There Pereira made 42 appearances with 17 goals in three and a half years. He played his first game for the first team on October 1, 2015 in a 1-1 draw against Beşiktaş Istanbul in the group stage of the Europa League . During the season he came to a total of 18 appearances in the first team and took second place with her in the championship . In July 2017, Pereira's contract term at Sporting was extended to 2022 and a fixed transfer fee of 60 million euros was anchored in the contract. The 2017/18 season he played on loan from league competitor GD Chaves , for whom he made 30 competitive appearances.
In September 2018, Pereira was loaned to Bundesliga club 1. FC Nürnberg until the end of the season. He played the 2019/20 season on loan at West Bromwich Albion . In August 2020, he was signed by the club for four years.
