Conversation (s) With Other Women is a film by Hans Canosa from the year 2005 with Helena Bonham Carter and Aaron Eckhart in the lead roles.

action

During a wedding reception in New York City, a man (Eckhart) invites a woman (Bonham Carter) over for a glass of champagne , whereupon she tells him that she no longer drinks but that smoking is no problem. They start flirting and a conversation begins. Among other things, they talk about previous relationships, their ages together, and the difference between lawyers and doctors. The man talks about certain shared memories.

Although the two know the other is already taken, they end up together in a hotel room, where they get closer and spend the night together. The woman reminds her that her flight back to London will start early in the morning. Their shared memories and revelations suggest that the two talked about each other and were previously married to each other.

The two leave the hotel together, but get into different taxis. The film ends in ambiguity when they talk independently with their drivers about the future and the problems of happiness.

"Intensive play-like focusing on the two main characters and their communication, the film intelligently and touchingly reflects on disappointed expectations and the maze between reality and romance."
