Events

The Coors Field is a baseball stadium in Denver , Colorado in the United States . Coors Field is the home of the Colorado Rockies from the National League of Major League Baseball . The stadium is named after the sponsor Coors Brewing Company , who owns the naming rights to the ball park.

Coors Field is known as a " homerun friendly" stadium, so it is known as a batter's park . The reason for this is the high location of Denver (approx. 1600 m above sea level ). Due to the low air resistance, the struck balls fly significantly further. The stadium was due to the many home runs the nickname "Coors Canaveral" in allusion to the Cape Canaveral of NASA . Coors Field is very similar to Wrigley Field .

Outside of the US, the stadium gained notoriety through episode 5 of season 9 of South Park , in which the protagonists of this series in Coors Field are determined to lose the game.
