The Great American Ballpark is a baseball - Stadium in the American US city of Cincinnati . The Cincinnati Reds from Major League Baseball (MLB) play their home games here. The name Great American Ball Park comes from the insurance company Great American Insurance , which is the name sponsor . The contract brings the Reds $ 2.5 million annually and runs until 2033. Right next to the stadium on the banks of the Ohio River is the Heritage Bank Center , a multi-purpose arena , which opened in 1975 .
The Cincinnati Reds are quite an important factor in this market, which is one of the smallest in the MLB, with viewership around 30,000. With the new building, those responsible expected a significantly higher number, although this corresponds to an increase of around 7,000 per game.
