Curt Faudon

Curt M. Faudon (born May 10, 1949 in Graz ; † July 25, 2019 there ) was an Austrian director , screenwriter and film producer .

Since 1979 he has lived mostly in Manhattan , New York , and has produced feature films and documentaries mainly for the ORF as well as advertising films for multinational companies.

Curt Faudon was best known for making documentaries about historical figures for European television companies. However, he has also directed numerous feature film productions. Most recently he ventured into the thriller milieu with the feature film Tödlicher Umweg .

His main work consists of elaborate TV documentaries . He produced several episodes for the ORF series Universum , for which he addressed environmental issues and climate change .

In his last films he dealt with the Vienna Boys' Choir . Both the film Silk Road (The Vienna Boys' Choir - Paths to Distance) as well as Bridging the Gap and Good Shepherds give an insight into the life of the choir and its worldwide tours. In Good Shepherds , the way of the choir boys is combined with the world of shepherdess over several years . Curt Faudon hired Jane Goodall as the narrator for the English version .
