The single locomotive of the type Gts 4/4 of the Bavarian State Railroad was built in 1909 for the meter-gauge line between Eichstätt and Kinding .
The four coupling axles were moved very close together so that tight corners could still be negotiated. The middle axles were laterally displaceable so that the connecting rod could only act on the fourth axle. The wheelbase was only 2.6 meters and, in connection with the total length of the locomotive of almost 8.5 meters, resulted in very large overhangs. This led to the machine running relatively unevenly.
The very generously dimensioned driver's cab was also noticeable . The frame was designed as a water tank, and a safety valve protected by a housing was located on the steam dome . The machine carried 2.2 m³ of water and 1.2 tons of coal .
The locomotive was mainly used in roller-jack traffic between Eichstätt and a quarry. After the establishment of the Reichsbahn , the locomotive was taken over as class 99 15 with number 99 151. The locomotive was retired in 1935 after the line had been converted to standard gauge .
