history
The place was first mentioned in 1297 as "Tachenbach", when the Bishop of Würzburg assigned the place to the parish of Markt Erlbach. The place name is derived from a water body of the same name (today called Taubenlohebach), the defining word of which is the adjective "tahe" ( mhd. For clay). Since 1402 the place belongs to the parish of Trautskirchen.
At the end of the 18th century there were 6 properties in Dagenbach (2 courtyards, 2 half courtyards, 2 estates). The high court exercised the manor Trautskirchen to a limited extent. If necessary, it had to be delivered to the Obervogteiamt Virnsberg . The manor Trautskirchen held the village and community rulership and the lordship over all properties.
As part of the community edict, Dagenbach was assigned to the Buch tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Buch formed in 1811 . On January 4, 1821, Dagenbach was reassigned to Trautskirchen.
In the early 1970s, a weekend settlement was built north of Dagenbach, named after the mayor of Trautskirchen at the time, Hans Würflein.
