Steinbach is a district of the community of Trautskirchen in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village is located on the Steinbach , a left tributary of the Zenn , and on the Kesselgraben, which flows into the Steinbach as a left tributary. The Kesselgrund lies in the northeast, followed by the Schußbachwald. Approx. The Alte Herod ( 426  m above sea level ) rises 0.75 km to the east . Approx. The Herrlohe forest area is 0.5 km to the west. The district road NEA 17 leads to Schußbach (1.2 km northwest) or after Buch to the state road 2413 (1.4 km southeast).

history

In 1210 Konrad Nägelein gave the Heilsbronn monastery, among other things, his goods in Steinbach for usufruct against payment of 50 talents a year. After twelve years the property fell to the monastery. Four of the five properties remained inhabited during the Thirty Years' War . In 1718 Steinbach belonged to the Heilbronn office of Neuhof: it was responsible for a mill, four Sölden estates , two relatives and a shepherd's house. 1755 were u. a. The subjects and fiefdoms of Steinbach were also handed over to the Teutonic Order as an exchange.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 6 properties in Steinbach (1 mill, 1 Dreiachtelhof, 3 half-courtyards, 1 community pastor's house). The high court exercised the Obervogteiamt Virnsberg of the Teutonic Order . The Teutonic Order of Nuremberg held the village and community rulership and the lordship over all properties .

As part of the community edict, Steinbach was assigned to the Buch tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Buch formed in 1811 . On July 1, 1972, Steinbach was incorporated into Trautskirchen as part of the regional reform .

religion

The place has remained predominantly Catholic even after the Reformation. The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Laurentius (Trautskirchen) , the residents of the Roman Catholic denomination to the Assumption of Mary (Sondernohe) .
