Daniel "Dan" Hacker (born January 14, 1982 in El Centro , California ) is a former American ice hockey player ( Center ) who was active in the Schwenninger Wild Wings from the German Ice Hockey League .

Career

Dan Hacker began his career in 1999 with the Omaha Lancers in the USHL junior ice hockey league , with whom he won the Clark Cup as champions of the league in the 2000/01 season . The striker then moved to the NCAA college league , where he laced the skates for the University of Nebraska from 2001 to 2005 . After a season for the Idaho Steelheads in the ECHL , he went on the ice in 2006 for the Iowa Stars in the American Hockey League .

Hacker then moved to Europe , where in the 2007/08 season he went hunting for goals in the top Finnish league for Saimaan Pallo and a season later for Helsingfors IFK .

The American came to Germany for the 2009/10 season , where he has been under contract with the Schwenninger Wild Wings ever since . In Schwenningen he met his former teammate Steve Silverthorn , with whom he had already played with the Idaho Steelheads and the Iowa Stars. From the 2013/14 season he played with the Schwenninger Wild Wings in the DEL before ending his career after the 2014/15 season.

• Master of the USHL 2000/01 with the Omaha Lancers
• 2013 Best player and best striker of the 2012/13 season in the 2nd Bundesliga
• 2013 top scorer in the 2nd Bundesliga
