Dennis Lisk (* 1977 in Hamburg ), also Denyo , Denyo 77 , Dennis Germany or Dennis Dubplate , is a German soul - and hip-hop - musician and radio host .

Denyo (2013)

Life

Dennis Lisk went to school in Hamburg (Eppendorf) and got to know his bandmates there. In the mid-90s he became known as "Denyo" in the band formation Absolute Beginner , with whom he has released several chart-relevant records to this day.

After three albums with the beginners , "Denyo" released his first solo album called Minidisco in 2001 under the name Denyo77 . This includes productions by Dennis Lisk himself, Eißfeldt 65 , Glammerlicious, Milan and DJ Dynamite and features by Eißfeldt 65 (also as Hans Werner Votz), DJ Mad an den Cuts, Illo , Paolo 77 , D-Flame and Das Bo .

He has been part of the Brothers Keepers project since 2001 , in which he also works with many hip-hop , reggae and soul artists such as Xavier Naidoo , D-Flame , Ziggy Marley , Patrice , Gentleman , Torch and others.

His second album The Denyos , which was produced by him, Tropf , DJ Dynamite , Lars Mellow and Chris Tall and with the exception of Eizi Eiz in the intro, Ms Marx in 2 refrains and DJ Mad in the cuts, did not have any guest contributions by other artists success desired by him. Only one single was released from the album.

In 2009 he worked as a song sponsor for Dein Song .

He also released the online single Easy with Nico Suave and The Denyos (his live band). Since 2009 he has been under contract as a solo artist with Four Music . In July 2009 another solo album was released under the title Search & Find ; he released the album under his name Dennis Lisk.

Every Tuesday evening he moderates the program Top of the Blogs on the Hamburg radio station N-Joy .

In 2011, he hosted the docutainment telecast Cover My Song on VOX . In 2012 he received the German Television Prize for this .

Dennis Lisk is married, lives with his family in Berlin (Mitte) and is the father of a son (* 2002) and a daughter (* 2009).
