The taste of our time

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Taste of Our Time is a series of illustrated books that the publisher Albert Skira published between 1953 and 1972 in his publishing house Éditions d'Art Albert Skira .

This series comprises more than fifty volumes, which, in addition to a German edition, have been published in parallel in identical editions in English (The taste of our time) and French (Le gôut de notre temps). The equipment of the volumes was very elaborately designed, each one was hardcover, provided in linen with a dust jacket and a cardboard slipcase, and the illustrations were exclusively assembled color plates. Individual books also had a kind of belly band on which additional information about the book was noted for advertising purposes.
