The Honigmann ( real name : Ernst Köwing ; born July 24, 1946 in Bremen ; † February 24, 2018 in Lingen ) was a German blogger , conspiracy theorist and Holocaust denier .

Ernst Köwing came from Varel . He was a trained businessman , beekeeper and operator of the blog "The honey man says ..."
Köwing was close to the Reich Citizens' Movement and was a supporter of the world conspiracy theory . He claimed, among other things, that the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva was "a spaceport amplifier controlled by the Illuminati and the Vatican and a manipulation system". He described politicians as "red-green sapid wankers".
In 2016 he was awarded the negative golden aluminum hat in the general conspiracy theory category. In 2017, his blog is said to have had over 10,000 posts. Köwing is also mentioned in the book Die Reise ins Reich. Portrayed among imperial citizens . The focus is on one of the Honigmann Meetings regularly organized by Köwing , where, according to the book, different right-wing extremists, alternative doctors and esotericists came together.
Köwing died on February 24, 2018 at the age of 71 in the Bonifatius Hospital Lingen .
Convictions and imprisonment
- Köwing was in 2013 after Holocaust denial because of sedition from Duisburg District Court to six months in prison on probation convicted.
- In February 2017 he was sentenced again to eight months in prison by the Oldenburg Regional Court (lower instance of the Varel District Court ). From November 12, 2017, he was initially in prison in Oldenburg , then in prison in Meppen .
