action

Cecilia Kass finds herself in a violent relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist until one night she takes flight from him. Cecilia goes into hiding with the help of her sister Emily and her childhood friend James.

After Cecilia's ex-boyfriend Adrian committed suicide and left her a large part of his fortune, Cecilia gradually overcomes the feeling that Adrian was only faking his death in order to be able to take revenge on her with a clever plan for the secret disappearance.

When a series of eerie coincidences plague her life and see the lives of those she loves threatened, she desperately tries to prove that she is being chased by someone no one can see.

production

Development of a new Invisible Man film began in 2007 when David S. Goyer was commissioned to write the script . Goyer remained connected to the project until 2011, but developed the film little or no further.

According to announcements, the project would then be revived as part of the cinematic universe called Dark Universe by Universal Studios in 2016, with Johnny Depp playing the title role of the film and Ed Solomon writing the script.

After the movie The Mummy, the first in the cinematic universe, failed to meet box office expectations in 2017, changes were made to the Dark Universe to focus on individual storytelling and deviate from the concept of the shared universe.

In January 2019, Universal announced that in the future, all films based on the Classic Universal Monsters would focus on stand-alone stories rather than interconnectivity. It has also been confirmed that Leigh Whannell has been hired as the new director and screenwriter for the film and that Blumhouse Productions will be responsible for producing the film.

In March 2019, Elisabeth Moss was in early negotiations to serve as one of the main characters and officially joined the cast the following month. In addition, Storm Reid joined a month later , Aldis Hodge and Harriet Dyer the following month , and Oliver Jackson-Cohen in July for the role of antagonist of the cast.

Main shooting for the film began on July 16, 2019 and ended on September 17, 2019 in Sydney , Australia .
