Production and publication
season 1
The concept of the first season involved episodic good-versus-evil battles, with the Mandarin and his henchmen always losing out. The mandarin's goal was to take over the world using weapons developed by Tony Stark. He was supported by a team of super villains consisting of Dreadknight, Blizzard, Blacklash, Gray Gargoyle, Hypnotia, Whirlwind, Living Laser, MODOK , Fin Fang Foom and Justin Hammer . But Iron Man wasn't alone either; He was supported in every episode by the Force Works , consisting of Century, War Machine , Scarlet Witch , Hawkeye and Spider-Woman.
The first season was produced by the animation studio Rainbow Animation Group .
season 2
In 1995, the Marvel Action Hour was produced by Koko Enterprises , which also hired new scriptwriters.
The actions of the episodes built on each other. The Mandarin was no longer the focus of every episode, but lost his rings of power right at the beginning of the season and only reappeared in the two-part season finale. Iron Man's team, Force Works , was also disbanded at the beginning of the season, making him the central hero of the series. Many episodes were based on the original comic book stories by Stan Lee .
The complete series was released on 6 DVDs by Panini Video in 2009. On the DVDs you can only find the German version of the series, the original soundtrack could not be licensed for DVD release.
