The final round of the German championship in women's indoor hockey in 1982 took place on February 27 and 28, 1982 in Hanau . The venue was the Main-Kinzig-Halle. The RTHC Leverkusen defended its title and became German indoor champion for the second time .
The three best-placed clubs in the Regionalliga Süd, the first and second in the table in the Regionalliga West, the first-placed clubs in the two North German regional league groups and the champions from Berlin qualified for the final round. The eight teams initially played in two groups, each against each other. The group winners and the runners-up qualified for the semi-finals. In the final round, a full placement was finally played out.
At the same time, this season was the qualification for the new, two-track Bundesliga introduced in the following season .
The newly introduced Regionalliga Nord was only played for one season in this form. The first two teams in each group qualified for the Bundesliga Group North introduced in the following season.
Six of the eight participants were already in the final round last year, only the Uhlenhorster HC and the Stuttgarter Kickers were not represented in 1981.
