The German Ice Hockey Cup was played for the sixth time in the 2007/08 season by the German Ice Hockey Association in cooperation with the German Ice Hockey League and the Ice Hockey Game Operating Company.

The game date for the 1st round was August 28, 2007.

Draw procedure

In all draws, a club from pot 2 was drawn for each club from pot 1. The clubs from pot 2 always had home rights to the club from pot 1. If one of the two pots was no longer a club, the club drawn first from the same pot received home rights.
