Dietmar Hogrefe

Dietmar Hogrefe (born August 25, 1962 in Varel ) is a former German eventing rider who became an Olympic knight with the team in 1984.

In 1981 Hogrefe was third at the European Young Rider Championships. In 1982 the Hogrefe on Foliant, riding for the Volkardey Riding Club, won the title at the German Championships. At the 1982 World Championships, he and Herbert Blöcker , Rüdiger Schwarz and Helmut Rethemeier took second place in the team ranking behind the British. After Foliant could not start in 1983 due to an illness, Ross and Reiter returned in 1984. At the Olympic Games in Los Angeles , they finished 12th in the individual ranking. The team with Claus Erhorn , Bettina Overesch, Dietmar Hogrefe and Burkhard Tesdorpf received the bronze medal behind the US team and the British.

Dietmar Hogrefe studied law and is a judge and director of the Lüneburg district court . In sport today he works as a tournament judge.
