Life
origin

Military career
Knobloch entered Prussian service in 1709 and was employed by the Holstein Infantry Regiment No. 11 . He fought in the War of Spanish Succession and was at the siege of Stralsund during the Pomeranian campaign 1715/16 as Secondeleutnant it. His boss Friedrich Ludwig von Holstein-Beck had great confidence in Knobloch and made him the tutor of his son Wilhelm, who soon died in Vienna .
Knobloch rose further and when General Röder was ordered to campaign on the Rhine in 1735, Knobloch marched with them. In 1736 he was promoted to major . In the First Silesian War he marched with the regiment to Silesia , but came too late for the battle of Mollwitz . He moved on to Silesia and secured the Prussian army in winter. On May 13, 1742 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel.
On May 17, the battle of Chotusitz broke out in which Knobloch was seriously injured. In 1744 he found himself with the troops that drove the Austrians out of Silesia. On January 20, 1745 he became a colonel and commander of the regiment. On June 4, 1745 he led the regiment into the battle of Hohenfriedberg . The regiment then came to General Moulin's corps , while the battles of Thrush and Kesselsdorf were fought .
On December 31, 1750, King Knobloch was appointed major general and he was given the infantry regiment “Prinz Dietrich” No. 10. At the beginning of the Seven Years' War , the regiment marched into Saxony. Knobloch fought in the battle of Lobositz and was there when the Saxon troops were trapped in Pirna .
He died surprisingly on April 12, 1757 in Chemnitz .
family
Knobloch was married twice. His first wife was Henriette Luise von Cupner, daughter of Privy Councilor Cupner, whom he married on July 15, 1735 in Königsberg . The son Friedrich Wilhelm Erhard von Knobloch survived the marriage.
After the death of his first wife, he married Luise von Papen (also: Pappe , Pape ), daughter of a lieutenant colonel in the cavalry. Johann Andreas Ludwig and Amalie Ursula Anna survived from the marriage.
