Location of Dillheim in Ehringshausen
|
Dillheim is a district of the Ehringshausen community in the Lahn-Dill district in central Hesse .
geography
The village is located on a hill above the Dill Valley , on the western edge of the Gladenbacher Bergland . Dillheim has now grown together with the core town of Ehringshausen, which is located to the southeast. The most striking point is the church square with the Evangelical parish church on a rock spur.
history
The village was first mentioned in 1226 as Dilnheim in connection with the parish located there . Edingen, about five kilometers away, also belonged to the large parish of Dillheim with twelve villages . The place also had a Centgericht , which was probably about the same size as the parish as a judicial district.
Dillheim finally came into the possession of the Counts of Solms-Greifenstein and belonged to their Greifenstein district . At the beginning of the 19th century the place became Prussian and part of the mayor's office of Asslar .
Territorial reform
As part of the regional reform in Hesse , Dillheim was incorporated into Ehringshausen on December 31, 1970 on a voluntary basis . For Dillheim, as for all formerly independent municipalities, a local district with a local advisory board and local council was set up. The seat of the municipal administration is Ehringshausen.
