Kölschhausen is a district of the Ehringshausen community in the Lahn-Dill district in Central Hesse .

geography

The place is on the edge of the Gladenbacher Bergland , east of the 354 m high Koppe with the nature reserve of the same name . The Lemp flows on the eastern edge of the village . The core town of Ehringshausen is about 4 kilometers south of Kölschhausen.

history

The village was first mentioned in August 1253 in a deed of donation from the Altenberg monastery as Culshusen . Kölsch Hausen was both as a branch of the parish as a village in the judicial district of cents court nearby Dill Home allocated. At the same time there was a Vogtgericht in the place . After the Reformation reached the village in 1566, Kölschhausen formed its own parish with five branch churches.

Kölschhausen belonged to the office of Greifenstein , which was part of the county of Solms-Braunfels . At the beginning of the 19th century, the Lower Dill Valley was assigned to Prussian and the mayor's office in Asslar . On April 1, 1884, a post office was set up in the place for the transport from Ehringshausen to Altenkirchen .

Territorial reform

In the course of administrative reform in Hesse on January 1, 1977, the communities Ehringshausen, Breitenbach, Daubhausen, Katzenfurt, Kölsch Hausen and Niederlemp were powerful state law to the new greater community Ehringhausen together . For Kölschhausen, as for all formerly independent municipalities, a local district with a local advisory board and local council was set up. Ehringshausen remained the seat of the municipal administration.
