description

The nave of the hall church was attached to an older church tower in the west in 1318 . The elongated choir in the east has a three-sided end with corner stones . The year 1723 is written on its base. There is only a tracery window in the apex of the choir, the two other windows in the choir area are pointed arches . The windows and the entire south wall of the nave are characterized by modern renovations. A small window in the south, which is marked 1584, has been preserved. A pointed arched portal was added on the north side , which is now walled up. The ground floor of the barrel-vaulted tower is opened to the west by a pointed arched choir arch . The tower has large arched sound arcades and was fitted with a bulbous hood in 1800 , which is crowned with an open lantern .

The parapets of the three-sided, two-story galleries have paintings with scenes from the New Testament . The continuous wooden barrel vault was installed in the 18th century. In the polygon of the choir there is a sacrament house , a piscina and a relief with St. Dionysius with an inscription , all from the time the choir was built. A carved crucifix is from the early 16th century. The offering box is Gothic. The pulpit altar from the beginning of the 18th century has carved decorations and sculptural carved figures of Jesus Christ and the evangelists on the basket. The baptismal font with lid is baroque . There is a putto on the lid . The organ stands in the carved-decorated prospectus . It has 19 registers , divided into 2 manuals and a pedal , and was built by Johann Michael Hesse in 1780 , in 1993 by Martin Haspelmath and restored in 1996 by Orgelbau Schönefeld . The interior was restored in 1963.
