The Rahuapampa district is located in the Huari Province in the Ancash region in western Peru . The district was founded on October 11, 1957. It has an area of ​​9.55 km². The 2017 census counted 741 residents. In 1993 the population was 671, in 2007 it was 739. The district administration is located in the 2550  m high village of Rahuapampa with 521 inhabitants (as of 2017). Rahuapampa is located 10 km east-southeast of the provincial capital Huari .

Geographical location

The district of Rahuapampa is located on the right bank of the northeast flowing Río Puchca in the province of Huari.

The district of Rahuapampa borders in the south on the district Huachis , in the northwest on the district Masin and in the far northeast on the district Pontó .
