Dominik Schiefner

Dominik Schiefner (born August 4, 1979 in Dresden ) is a German actor and composer .

Life

Dominik Schiefner studied acting at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig and graduated in 2004 with a diploma . In the same year he was proposed as one of 16 acting graduates from all over Germany for the master class "actors class" and received there camera-specific lessons a. a. at MK Lewis . He has been closely connected to music since he was a child, taking piano, singing and composition lessons. Since then he has worked as an actor and composer a. a. at the Schauspiel Leipzig , at the Schauspiel Frankfurt , at the Theater and the Bonn Opera , at the Volkstheater Rostock , the Bavarian State Theater , the Schaubühne Berlin , the Semperoper Dresden and the State Theater Dresden , as well as in film, radio and television.

In 2008 he published with the publishing house Dr. Müller wrote his book Through Improvisation to Role .

Since 2009 he has been a lecturer at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig and the Alanus University of Art and Society in Alfter . In 2015 he was appointed professor by the rector of the Alanus University of Art and Society. Since 2016 he has been the elected head of the acting department and since 2018 vice dean of the performing arts department.

He is co-founder and artistic director of the "Academy for Applied Dramatic Art Bonn".

Since 2010 he has been working regularly as a director. This is how u. a. the productions “Aschgrau Schillernd” (a piece development premiered at the Theater Bonn ), “Peepshow” (invited to the KALTSTART PRO 2014 festival ), the open air music theater production “Der Verrat” and a dramatization of the book “ Irgendwie Anders ” with 100 citizens the city of Greiz .
