Village church in Trebbin

The Protestant village church Blankensee is a hall church in the district Blankensee of the city of Trebbin in the Brandenburg district of Teltow-Fläming .

history

Experts suspect that a simple half-timbered church already existed in the 13th, possibly also in the 14th century . The hall building, which existed in the 21st century, was built between 1706 and 1710 at the instigation of von Thümen . The building is plastered , so that no statements can be made about whether it was built on possibly still existing foundations of the original church without detailed investigations. What is certain is that the eastern wall of the nave and the triumphal arch are from a previous building. In 1939 and 1940 the parish expanded its sacred building with a west tower ; a chapel at a later date . In 1991 and 1992 the parish renovated the interior and the pulpit altar . Three layers of paint, in some places even four layers of paint from the previous building, were uncovered on the altar wall. In 2012, the common rodent beetle was combated by enclosing the church in an airtight envelope.

View from the northeast

The hall building is provided with a simple, gray plaster. On the eastern gable of the nave there are two narrow struts to improve the structural engineering . Two small openings can be seen in the upper half. A simple sacristy was added to the north wall of the church at a later date. The extension with a hipped roof has a rectangular floor plan; Two simple beehive-shaped windows were built into the western and eastern walls. There is a double-winged wooden gate on the north wall. On the southern wall of the nave there are two simple, rectangular leaded glass windows arranged in pairs. In the middle of these windows there is an arched, wooden gate with a lantern attached above. The choir is rectangular and drawn in. On the eastern wall of the choir is a simple, rectangular leaded glass window . The gable is made of half-timbered construction, which was filled with orange bricks . Unlike other churches in the region, the west tower does not have a central access on the west side, but a rectangular opening on the south tower side, which is closed with a reddish wooden door. The builders added two round arched sound arcades arranged in pairs on three sides of the church tower at the height of the roof ridge of the nave . Behind it is the chime, which consists of three bells that were cast in 1408, 1412 and 1517. The tower concludes with a gable roof off and a cross.

Furnishing

Pulpit altar and fifth

altar

The pulpit altar was made of wood and dates from 1706. The frame consists essentially of two double pilasters , which are decorated with rocailles . There is a blown gable above it . The pulpit is polygonal and decorated with images of the prophets with sayings from the Bible . In front of it is a smaller triumphal cross group , which was also made of wood.

The oldest piece of furniture is a marble fifth . It dates from the first half of the 11th century, was made in Venice and from there came into the collection of the German writer and playwright Hermann Sudermann . The work once served as a stone fountain and stands on pilasters decorated with free-standing columns. They are decorated with reliefs of pairs of animals on the tree of life .

Patronage Lodge

Patronage Lodge

The patronage box also dates from the time the church was built and experts can date it to 1706. It is equipped with leaded glass windows that can be pushed to the side. Below is a baroque pedigree dedicated to the ancestors of Christian Wilhelm von Thümens' first wife . The box is decorated with six cassettes on its long side and two on the transverse side. In each oval, which is framed by a golden tendril path, you can essentially read proverbs from the Bible. A circular inscription by the founder in golden letters is painted on a fourth cassette: “The memory of the righteous remains a blessing. Prov. 10.V.7. The high-born Mr. Christian Wilhelm von Rhümen you: Königl. Maj: in Prussia, the highly populated state of Rath and his wife Mrs. Anna Christina gebohrne v. Schlabberndorffin have had this god built to honor them. Anno 1706. “It was erected in the southeast corner of the nave so that the patronage family sat at the same height as the pulpit and thus the preaching pastor. At the time of construction it was equipped with upholstered benches. The other biblical quotations are as follows (from left to right, some manual errors are recognizable, such as the double word "Herr" in the third cassette)

  • "I am almighty God, walk for me and be from" ( Gen 17.1  EU )
  • "Show me, Lord, your way, that I may walk in your lucidity, keep my heart with one, that I may fear your name" ( Psalm 68:11 )
  • "It is my joy that I stand by God, and my confidence is in the Lord" ( Ps 73,28  EU )
  • "Lord, I love the place of your house and the place where your glory dwells" ( Ps 26.8  EU )
  • "May those who live in your house praise you forever, Sela" ( Ps 84,5  EU )
  • "The bird has found a house, and the swallow has found its nest, since they hedge young, namely your altar, Lord of hosts, my king and my God" ( Ps 84.4  EU ) as well
  • "But I will go into your house to see your great kindness, and worship your holy temple in your fear". ( Ps 5,8  EU ).

Epitaphs, organ and other equipment

Epitaph Anna von Schlabrendorff

An epitaph from the third quarter of the 16th century shows a scene consisting of Adam and Eve , the dance around the serpent, Moses with the tablets of the law, an undressed woman kneeling before a cross and the resurrection of Jesus Christ . Another epitaph recalls Anna von Schlabrendorff , who died in 1567 while giving birth to her second daughter at the age of about 23. The figure is sculpted, with only the eyes and the bridge of the nose being suggested of her face. In front of her right foot there is a coat of arms of the von Schlabendorf family, decorated with acanthus . The otherwise largely veiled figure is framed with the following inscription: “ANO 1576 AM I IANUARY AGAINST EVENING, THE NOBLE AND FILTHUGEND SAME ANNA VON SCHLABENDORF KHUNE V. THÜMES EHLICHE HOUSEFRAW WITH AND IN KIN DES BIRT IN GOT SEL IGLICHEN SELCHLAFE SNEDIK SEY. ”There is also a small panel painting of her, which was restored in 1991 and 1992 and which dates back to the 18th century. The three-part picture provides information about her life and shows Anna with her husband Kuno and two little girls in the main field. In the middle, a poem reports as follows: “Here is buried without quahl / Kunes von Thümen ehlich husband / Die Tugentsam fraw Anna Gutt / von Schlabberndorff the noble blood / which was given by God / The Kunegeardt bit an tott. / Which she has a daughter here / left alone for consolation. / After that the noble woman / in child trouble with a heavy body / The first day of January / in the sixtieth year. / and now live in the kingdom of heaven / sampt all Christians souls like / whom all be gracious O God / and help us out of every need. / Amenn / 1567. "

Significantly more splendid are two other baroque epitaphs on the north wall of the church, which remind of Hans Christian Albrecht von Schlieben (died 1703) and Christian Wilhelm von Thümen (died 1741) as well. The latter was created by the sculptor Friedrich Christian Glume .

The church stalls are from the late 16th century, a vestry cupboard from the 16th century. Wall paintings were uncovered on the triumphal arch during restoration work in 1991. Two putti can be seen above the arch ; to the left is a Renaissance painting depicting the Solomonic Judgment . The west gallery is decorated with several paintings. The middle one shows the wedding in Cana and was painted around 1700 by the pastor Johann Georg Kresser . Next to it are four portraits of the apostles , which also come from the Sudermann collection and were made around the 18th century. Two other panel paintings from the first half of the 16th century show saints and probably served as altar wings at an earlier time.

The Dinse organ has four and a half registers and 270 organ pipes .
