Dylan McNeice (born July 29, 1985 in Christchurch ) is a New Zealand triathlete .

Career

Dylan McNeice was active in swimming in his youth.

In 2004, the 22-year-old ended his swimming career and took part in a triathlon training camp for the first time. In 2006 and from 2008 to 2010, the New Zealander started for the DSW Darmstadt in the triathlon Bundesliga .

Triathlon middle distance 2011

McNeice completed his first half-distance competition in 2011 at Ironman 70.3 Miami , where he finished ninth.

At the Challenge Wanaka 2013 he started over the long distance for the first time and was able to achieve victory straight away. He was able to successfully repeat this victory in 2014 and 2015.

Ironman Hawaii 2015

In March 2015, he finished third in his first start in an Ironman series race in New Zealand. In October he started at the Ironman Hawaii for the first time and finished 35th as the fastest swimmer.

In the "Professional Triathlon Union", an association of professional triathletes founded in September 2015, Dylan McNeice acts as chairman of the board of directors .

In September 2016 he was tenth in the world championship on the long distance triathlon (4 km swimming, 120 km cycling and 30 km running).

In April 2018, the 32-year-old won the Challenge Taiwan long distance for the third time after 2013 and 2014.
