Ebersegg is a place in the Ybbstal Alps in Upper Austria as well as the village of the municipality St. Ulrich in Steyr-Land District .

geography

The place is located 10 kilometers southeast of the city ​​of Steyr , 8 km southeast of the municipality capital Sankt Ulrich .

The scattered settlement Ebersegg is on the left in the Kleinramingtal at around 600  m above sea level. A. Height. It extends over a good 2½ km on a Vorriedel of the Spadenberg  ( 1000  m above sea level ) between the Ramingbach , which here forms the state border with Lower Austria, and the Großkohlergraben . The Riedel culminates at 773  m above sea level. A. at the Gerold chapel , and continues into the valley to Blumau . The village has around 30 addresses with around 130 inhabitants and is part of the cadastral community of Kleinraming . On January 1st, 2020 there were 129 residents in the village.

The mountains here are usually included in the Enns and Steyrtaler Flysch mountains .

History and infrastructure

Ebersegg, like Neustift , Pfriemreith and Windhag, was a free office of the Steyr lordship .

With the creation of the local communities , the tax community Ebersegg became part of the political community of Kleinraming in 1851, but this and its localities were incorporated into Ortisei in 1857.

The area has its own volunteer fire brigade , Zug Ebersegg .
