The Großkohlergraben is a valley with a stream of the same name and location in the Ybbstal Alps in Upper Austria . The stream goes to the Ramingbach , the area belongs to the municipality of St. Ulrich bei Steyr in the Steyr-Land district .

The Großkohlergraben (also known as the Großer Kollergraben ) rises on the northern slope of the Spadenberg ( 1000 m above sea level ), an alpine ridge belonging to the Enns and Steyrtal Flysch Mountains , at the Spadenberg hunting lodge at around 750 m above sea level. A. Height. It runs northwards, first through the uninhabited Höllgraben , to the small Haidenbach on the left . Then it flows through the valley called Großkohlergraben . He takes up the Kleinkohlergraben from the left, after which the valley is only called Kohlergraben . Soon afterwards, after a good 6 km run in Kleinramingtal, near Hausmann , 1½ km south of Kleinraming , it joins the Ramingbach, a feeder of the Enns near Steyr .
The houses in the valley form a scattered settlement of the village of Kohlergraben and belong to the cadastral community of Kleinraming . The location includes just under 10 addresses.
