Edgar Harter

Edgar Harter (* 1946 in Magdeburg ) is a German actor , radio play speaker and cabaret artist .

Life

Edgar Harter already played theater during his school days. He initially learned the trade of bookseller, but continued to perform as an extra during his training. After completing his apprenticeship, Harter studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . He had his first engagement from 1970 to 1972 at the Meininger Theater , before moving to the Landestheater Neustrelitz . Another station in his stage career was the Deutsches Theater in Berlin.

After Harter stood on the stage of the cabaret Die Distel for the first time on November 16, 1975 , he celebrated his 40th stage anniversary there in November 2015. Up until then he had appeared in 46 programs with more than 10,000 performances, and still belongs to the ensemble today.

In the 1970s, Harter occasionally worked in front of the camera; from 1974 to the end of the 1990s, his work as a radio play speaker was more extensive. Here he was used in over 150 productions, including speaking in the long-lived series Waldstrasse number 7 and Neumann, ringing the bell twice .
