Egelsbach is a district of the Uehlfeld market in the Middle Franconian district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim .

geography

To the north of the wasteland lies the Tragelhöchstädter Weiherkette, which is fed by the Egelsbach, a left tributary of the Weisach . The forest area Kuckuck is in the northeast and the forest area Steinlohe in the southwest. An agricultural traffic route leads to Tragelhöchstädt (0.4 km southeast).

history

Egelsbach was first mentioned in 1421 as "Egelstorff".

As part of the community edict, Egelsbach was assigned to the Uehlfeld tax district formed in 1811, and from 1813 it belonged to the rural community of Oberhöchstädt . With the second community edict (1818) it was assigned to the newly formed rural community of Tragelhöchstädt . Until 1848, the property was subject to voluntary jurisdiction by the Rockenbach Patrimonial Court . On July 1, 1971 Egelsbach was incorporated into Uehlfeld as part of the regional reform .

The place has not been permanently inhabited since 2001.
