traffic
In Lömmenschwil the main road 451 branches off to Neukirch-Egnach from the main road 471 St. Gallen - Amriswil - Scherzingen TG (- Kreuzlingen ). The A1.1 Meggenhus – Arbon West motorway slip road relieves Lömmenschwil of through traffic.
As early as 1887, the municipality of Häggenschwil made a contribution to the project studies for a road railway from St. Gallen to Amriswil . However, this project was never realized. In 1897 the municipality of Häggenschwil took over a share in the share capital of the Bodensee-Toggenburg-Bahn (BT). Because of the name and location of the future train station, there was a dispute between the municipality of Häggenschwil and Egnach . After all, the train station was built about 25 minutes' walk from Häggenschwil on the Egnach area, but named Häggenschwil-Winden. On October 3, 1910, the Bodensee-Toggenburg Railway (BT) was opened with the Häggenschwil- Winden station. The railway line has belonged to the Südostbahn (SOB) since 2001 and is part of the St. Gallen S-Bahn . Since September 15, 1952, the postbus line Häggenschwil-Winden-Lömmenschwil-Häggenschwil-Wittenbach has been responsible for the fine distribution of public transport.
From 1963 to 1975, a heating oil and gasoline warehouse with a storage capacity of 300 million liters was built near the train station, but already in the municipality of Häggenschwiler.

coat of arms
The municipal coat of arms is a new creation and was chosen by a municipal council resolution of January 25, 1937 at the suggestion of the cantonal coat of arms commission. It depicts two red-armored and red-tongued, golden-crowned leopards on yellow. This is derived from the coat of arms of the knightly family of the Lords of Ramschwag .
