The Eichenlaubstrasse is an 84-kilometer holiday route in the northern Saarland .

It runs from Perl / Mosel ( Merzig-Wadern district ), where it branches off the Moselweinstrasse , via Mettlach (21 km), Waldhölzbach (38 km), Weiskirchen (43 km), Nonnweiler (59 km), Nohfelden (73 km) to Freisen in the St. Wendel district . It opens up many tourist destinations. There is a direct motorway connection in Perl ( A8 ) as well as in Nonnweiler ( A1 / A62 ) and in Freisen (A62). In addition, it is connected to the B 419 in Perl , to the B 51 in Mettlach and to the B 41 in Nohfelden . Between Perl and Potsdamer Platz ( B 406 ) it runs for almost 10 km together with the B 407 , between Mettlach and Weiskirchen for about three kilometers on the B 268 . The majority of the roads are state roads , about half of the 1st and 2nd order.

The Eichenlaubstrasse is particularly attractive because its central part runs exactly south of the Black Forest high forest (the road is almost 500 meters above sea level ). On many stretches, this gives a remarkable view of the northern Saarland mountain ranges. From Nonnweiler you can then reach the North Palatinate Bergland .
