The El Dorado Templin is a theme park in the form of a western town near Templin , about 70 kilometers north of Berlin. It is located in the middle of the forest, directly on the south bank of the Röddelinsee , and extends over approximately 70,000 m².
The park has been open to visitors from around April to October since 2006.
Attractions
The theme park offers visitors attractions and shows in Western style.
The entire appearance of the city was recreated as true to the original as possible. In addition to a concert & dance hall and a saloon , the western town also offers various shops , a photo studio , a bank , a steakhouse , a Mexican chapel, a cemetery and other typical western facilities.
In the fund , visitors can borrow a dress or a children's western panel and have their make- up done by the make- up artist . Historical photos can be created in the photo studio. The Wells-Fargo - Stagecoach runs several times daily by the National Bank of Eldorado once across the terrain.
Other offers include pony riding for children on the trail path , panning for gold with a traditional gold pan in a pond, quad rides , archery and horseshoe throwing .
Shows
Western stunt shows
The western stunt show at El Dorado Ranch shows how cowboys and Indians have gunfights and fights. Horses and the typical covered wagon can also be seen. Visitors to the western town are included in the show. Guests can also try out how to strike in film and television. There is also an indoor show variant in the Concert & Dance Hall.
The showdown is performed once a day on Main Street . The demonstration includes shootings, a cable car ride and horses and covered wagons chasing through town. Part of the demonstration is also the “classic” good versus bad duel. Markus Papiernik has been active in the stunt show since 2006 .
Indian dances
Twice a day, visitors can experience Indian dances in the Indian show arena or in the saloon and learn something about the ancient traditions and rituals of the Indians. Until about 2015, Quentin Pipestem, a Blackfoot Indian, performed Indian songs and chants, reported on rituals, ceremonies and ways of life and taught the guests some Indian words. Part of the show was an award-winning "hoop dance" - a dance in which 5 to 31 wooden hoops are used. Quentin tells the story and experiences of a warrior in this way, he is a three-time world champion in this discipline. The show is currently being performed by Kendall Old Elk, an Apsaalooke Indian from Montana , and his wife.
Television productions
The western town has been the backdrop for film and television productions, commercials , music videos and image trailers several times .
In El Dorado, Anna and Love , Your Chance! 3 applicants - 1 job , world of wonders , the movie Play me a song and you'll be dead! , filmed the music video Jein 2010 by Fettes Brot , Poker Face by Meg Pfeiffer , the ARD music steamer and for a commercial for the Burger King company .
Events
Numerous events take place in connection with the park, for example the Indian meeting, the US car weekend, the biker meeting, the husky meeting , the Halloween party, the Eldorado night, the rock festival or the Line Dance Cup.
Accommodation and event rooms
Overnight accommodation is available with the hotel directly in Main Street , the ranch houses on the banks of Lake Röddelin, the fort and the tipis . With white wall tents it is also possible to camp on the site.
In the saloon there is a true-to-original Western-style interior with 90 seats; if the upper floor is included, there is a capacity of 150 seats. The Concert & Dance Hall has 400 seats on two levels. In the lower area there is a stage, which can also be seen from the gallery, as well as a dance floor. The Beaver Lodge, a rustic, stylishly furnished log cabin, and the Mandan Erdhaus, the traditional accommodation of the Mandan Indians, are suitable for holding smaller events or seminars.
