Ellen Bry
Ellen Bry (born February 13, 1951 in New York City , New York ) is an American actress . She is best known for her role as Sister Shirley Daniels in the television series Chief Physician Dr. West phall .
Life
Bry attended public schools in Stamford , Connecticut and graduated from Tufts University ( cum laude ) and Columbia University .
In 1977 she had her first television appearance in the series Kojak - Use in Manhattan . She had major series appearances as Julie Masters in Spider-Man - The Spider Man (1978–1979), Jean Hallinan in Dallas (1981) and Sister Shirley Daniels in Chief Physician Dr. Westphall (1982-1987). She appeared in several other series, such as in Love Boat (1979-1986), Quincy (1980), Strike Force (1981-1982), New Love, American Style (1985-1986), MacGyver (1986), Mord ist Her Hobby (1987), Starship Enterprise: The Next Century (1992), Baywatch - The Lifeguards of Malibu (1993), Chicago Hope - The End Of Hope (1996–1999), Boston Legal (2006) and Monk (2009).
Films she starred in include Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (1979), Starflight One - Irrflug ins Weltall (1983), Bye Bye, Love (1995), Deep Impact (1998), Mission: Impossible III (2006) and The Lost & Found Family (2009).
She met her husband John Masius while filming the television series Chief Doctor Dr. Westphall , where he was the creator and producer.
