Emil Franke (Minister)
Emil Franke (* 3. April 1880 in Březno ; † 1. December 1939 in Prague ) was a Czechoslovakian lawyer , politician , longtime member of the Česká strana NARODNE sociální (CSN, Czech People's Socialist Party) and several times minister in various governments of Czechoslovakia in the interwar period .
Life, political career
After attending grammar school, Franke studied law and philosophy (with a doctorate ) in Prague, Vienna and Berlin . Since about 1917 he was involved in the Československá strana socialistická (ČSS, Czechoslovak Socialist Party, formerly Česká strana národně-socialistická - Czech People's Socialist Party), in which he also participated in the development of the party program and was deputy chairman from 1918 to 1939.
From 1918 to 1939 Emil Franke was a member of the Socialist and later People's Social Party in several representations: in 1918 in the so-called Revolutionary National Assembly , then in 1920 in the newly elected regular National Assembly of Czechoslovakia ; He retained his mandate after the parliamentary elections of 1925, 1929 and 1935 until the parliament was dissolved in 1939.
