Kuneš Sunday

Kuneš Sonntag , also Kuneš Sonntág , Konrad Sonntag or Kunrát Sonntag (born February 19, 1878 in Lazce , † March 29, 1931 in Prague ) was a Czechoslovak lawyer, politician and finance minister; he was also a publicist.

Life, political career

Sunday attended a grammar school in Uničov and Moravská Třebová , from 1893 to 1895 he attended an agricultural institute in Dippoldiswalde , later in Halle .

Kuneš Sonntag was a member of the Česká strana radikálně pokroková (Czech radical-progressive party), and from 1904 the Agrarian Party . From 1913 to 1918 he was a member of the Moravian House of Representatives. During the First World War he had important contacts with Slovak politicians. From 1918 to 1920 he was elected to the so-called Revoluční národní shromáždění (Revolutionary National Assembly), in 1920 he was elected to the subsequent Národní shromáždění (Regular National Assembly).

In addition to some functions in agricultural institutions, in banking and in the Agrarian Party (1922–1931 Vice Chairman), Kuneš Sonntag held the following government posts:

In 1922, Sonntag ended his career as a government official and devoted himself only to party politics and work in business associations.
