The municipality was awarded the local coat of arms on August 1, 1938 by the President of the Province of Hanover . The district administrator from Alfeld presented it on November 1st of the same year.
Blazon : "On red asilver morning star growing out of a silver palisade with a golden stem." | |
Foundation of the coat of arms: Eyershausen, Ohlenrode and Wetteborn are still popularly called the Landwehr from the Winzenburg office . This marking is recorded in the coat of arms of the three villages through the palisade, which is surmounted by a medieval weapon as a characteristic of the respective village. A morning star has been placed in the coat of arms for Eyershausen. |
